Schools.

A mountain bike program started at Ross Park Primary School in 2019 and is immensely popular and fun. The program’s objective is also to encourage fun, riding bikes with others, and learn the basics of mountain biking, bike maintenance and looking after yourself and others whilst riding.

The program is facilitated by Level 0 and Level 1 MTB instructors and parents are welcome and encouraged to join.

The program happens during Terms 1 and 4 of the school year.

The meeting location is Ross Park Primary School and riding takes place at Telegraph Station and surrounding East Side trails.

Time is 7:00am to 8:00am. Breakfast is provided at the school afterwards and then kids walk to class.

The program is currently offered to Grades 4-6. Ideally riders are competent using brakes and gears and ready to ride single track.

An AusCycling Lifestyle, Race Off-Road or Race All Discipline membership is required and can be purchased here. Please ensure your child becomes a member of Central Australian Rough Riders - the Alice Springs Mountain Bike Club - during this process. Juniors are free.
